John Hick - President and Chief Executive Officer and Director

John Hick has over 28 years of executive management experience principally in the mining industry.  From December 2004 to June 2006 he was the Chief Executive Officer and then Vice Chairman of Rio Narcea Gold Mines Ltd.  Prior to that John was President and Chief Executive Officer of Defiance Mining Corp. and its predecessor company, Geomaque Explorations Ltd., until it was acquired by Rio Narcea in 2004.  Mr. Hick also serves as an independent director for a number of companies, principally in the mining industry. John holds an LL.B and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1978.

Carlos Pinglo - Chief Financial Officer

Carlos Pinglo is an economist with over 20 years of senior management experience working with both private and public companies in corporate finance, strategic planning, financial reporting and mergers and acquisitions.  The majority of his career has been spent in Latin America and Canada.  Prior to joining Medoro Resources, Carlos held a number of senior finance roles, including Controller of TSX-listed Silver Eagle Mines Inc. and Excellon Resources Inc.

Peter Volk - Vice President and General Counsel

Peter Volk has been a lawyer for 22 years, focusing on the resource sector for the past 13 years.  He has served as General Counsel to a number of resource companies and issuers with interests in Colombia, including Bolivar Gold Corp. and Gran Colombia Resources Ltd.  Currently he is also the General Counsel for Pacific Rubiales Energy Ltd. and Alange Energy Corp.  Previously Peter worked in the Securities Group at Blake Cassels & Graydon LLP and at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, one of Japan's largest law firms.

Vicente Mendoza - Vice President, Exploration

Vicente Mendoza has focused his 45 years of experience as a geologist on the gold industry.  He has worked as the Vice President of Exploration for a number of companies in South America, including CVG Mining, Hecla Mining and Bolivar Gold.  He was the first President of the Las Cristinas gold mine jointly run by Placer Dome, CVG and the Venezuelan Government.  Vicente has a Masters degree and a Ph.D in geology from the State University of New York in the United States. 

Linda Dorrington - Director, Investor Relations

Linda Dorrington is an external affairs professional with over 20 years experience, most of it in the mining industry.  Linda worked for De Beers Canada for nine years, heading up their Public and Corporate Affairs Department, responsible for all aspects of the Company’s communications strategy.   Prior to joining De Beers in Canada, Linda worked for Anglo American in their Corporate Communications department in Johannesburg.  More recently she worked for Victoria Gold Corp. (VIT-X) as the Director, Investor Relations. Linda has a Bachelor of Journalism and Media Studies degree from Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa.

Joanne Sanci - Legal Counsel and Secretary

Prior to joining Medoro as the Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Joanne worked for Wildeboer Dellece LLP, a boutique corporate finance law firm in Toronto, where she specialised in corporate and securities law. Her experience covers a variety of securities and related transactions representing both issuers and investment dealers, including public and private financings and mergers and acquisitions.  Joanne has a BA degree from York University and an LLB degree from the University of Ottawa.
